At the request of the customer, designers from Geometrium Studio have developed a design studio-apartment in the style of a loft. A feature of the style is the conversion of large non-residential, mainly factory or factory premises, into interiors for living. Designers managed to convey the atmosphere of style in a standard apartment with a small height of ceilings - they achieved this by using tactful use of style elements and, above all, finishing materials.
For the loft style is characterized by the use of natural brick, stone, slate, wood. Red brick walls, dark “boardwalk” floor, “slate” pattern of a kitchen set, simple “industrial” lamps-lamps hanging from the ceiling - all this creates a unique charm of style.
Layout
Since the apartment should be used not only for rest and sleep, but also a place where a small group of friends will gather, it was necessary to select several different functional areas. The living room and kitchen were combined in one volume, the bedroom was allocated in a separate room, since it was important for the young man to be able to sleep on the bed, and not on the fold-out couch. In addition, there is a spacious entrance area and a bathroom with shower.
Entrance hall
The atmosphere of the loft in the studio apartment begins in the entrance area: massive floorboards visually move onto the walls - the veneered door leads to the laundry room, where there are washing and drying machines. Located next to the white door - the entrance to the bathroom. Doors “run into” each other, which saves space in a small hallway.
The storage system for clothes and shoes is closed with mirror doors - this allows you to simultaneously visually increase the entrance area and see yourself in full growth.
Kitchen-living room
A loft-style design studio was designed for a young man who is not ready to spend a lot of time on cooking, so the kitchen here is equipped with the minimum necessary set of equipment that does not take up much space:
- Smeg refrigerator in retro style
- two-burner hob,
- oven combined with microwave,
- sink,
- drawers and shelves for storing food and dishes,
- built-in dishwasher.
The dining area is separated from the kitchen by a bar counter, which serves as a table. Together with high chairs around, it serves as a dining group. The rack provides space for DJ equipment.
Behind the bar - a large living room. On the wall covered with microconcrete - TV, this is the center of the living room. A construction is fixed on the ceiling in which the projection screen is hidden - if necessary, it is lowered using a special system controlled from the console.
Bedroom area
A loft-style bedroom in a studio apartment has a podium dividing it into zones. At the same time, it was possible to avoid the construction of partitions that eat up the space and visually reduce the size of the room. The window sill was turned into a sofa, and a bed with a lifting mechanism was built into the podium niche. A mattress is placed on it.
The design of the headboard is unusual: it turns to the window sill, which turns into a small sofa, the headboard is decorated with soft pillows - it will be convenient to sit and read before bedtime. Behind the headboard - a wall trimmed “under concrete” and highlighted by a ribbon of LEDs - this underlines the texture of the material.
Opposite the window is a wall of glass blocks, enclosing the shower room, this solution allows daylight to penetrate there.
Bathroom
Shower in the design of the studio in the loft style - an intimate room in which twilight reigns. Soft daylight and subdued lighting create a mysterious atmosphere, accentuated by the decoration of the walls with dark slate and teak board - the ceiling, one and the walls, and the shower tray are lined.
Next to the sink countertop - teak sheltered shelving. The doors move in both directions, giving access to different shelves. The opening rear walls of the shelves allow access to the risers, so there is no need for special hatches for plumbing. The shower is decorated with textured slate, the relief of which is emphasized by the LED strip lighting.
Balcony
On the balcony located recreation area and storage. Here you can find a small sofa where you can comfortably sit down for smoking a hookah - the apartment owner is a fan of such a holiday. Panoramic windows allow you to admire the surrounding landscape.
The chosen style underlines the gray shale floor and long-hanging light bulbs hanging from the ceiling are typical loft lighting fixtures. Above the sofa is a shelf for storing hookah supplies. Opposite the hookah zone is a storage zone in which the filtering air is hidden in the block - carrying it to the facade is prohibited by construction rules. Under this unit placed the dryer.
